To Whom it may concern:

It is my privilege to offer this letter of recommendation for Ellen Ring.  I have known Ellen for over two years and she has proven herself many times over to have a keen mind and great work ethic.  Ellen is also highly organized, very smart and has a drive that is beyond belief.  She is also a self starter and perhaps most importantly she is excellent at following up – needless to say, this skill is critical when working in places like Panama.

Ellen helped me change a Guesthouse into a successful Hostel In Bocas del Toro, Panama.  Nothing about her time here was easy – she was forced to deal with people who do not embrace change willingly and she succeeded where few could have.  I am very grateful and continue an association with her as she continues to grow her tourism and consulting business.

One last thing of merit – Ellen is not a “yes man” if you will allow me to coin a phrase.  She is tough and will tell you what she believes to be correct based on a thorough analysis of the situation as opposed to what you want to hear.  While we have not always agreed, I can say without doubt that I value her opinions and have welcomed her direct approach to dealing with things.

I give Ellen a very strong recommendation – as I have told her many times before – she is capable of doing anything she chooses to do and doing it well, too.
